Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the TripSlap iOS application and our website (together, the “Service”), operated by Dicle Sözbir (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using TripSlap, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
TripSlap is a trip-planning tool: you create itineraries, track budgets, view your plans on a map, and optionally use an AI assistant. TripSlap is a planning aid only — it does not sell travel services, and information in the app (including AI-generated suggestions, sample trips, prices, and exchange rates) is provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or out of date. Always verify important details (opening hours, prices, tickets, visas) with official sources.
2. Accounts
You can use TripSlap without an account. Signing in with Apple enables cloud sync and backup. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion is permanent and removes all your cloud data.
3. Purchases
TripSlap offers optional paid upgrades (“TripSlap Premium”) sold through Apple’s App Store:
Lifetime unlock — a one-time payment that permanently unlocks premium features on your Apple account.
Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple account and handled entirely by Apple.
Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.
You can restore previous purchases on a new device via “Restore Purchases”.
4. AI assistant
The AI assistant is optional. If you connect your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google), your use of that provider is subject to the provider’s own terms, and any usage fees charged by the provider are your responsibility. AI-generated content can be wrong; you are responsible for how you use it.
5. Your content
You own the trips and content you create. By using cloud sync or the trip-sharing feature, you grant us the limited right to store and transmit that content solely to operate the Service. Shared trip links are viewable by anyone who has the link, and expire after 30 days.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other users’ data, reverse engineering the Service, disrupting its operation, or using it for unlawful purposes.
7. Intellectual property
The TripSlap app, name, logo, and design are our property. These Terms don’t grant you any right to use them except as needed to use the app.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from travel decisions made using the app (including missed bookings, incorrect prices, or route suggestions). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms. Sections 5, 7, and 8 survive termination.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
